I felt like the previous reviewer was a bit unfair with his last review. He mentioned the practice area looking as though it was under construction and that the balls were scuffed, etc. Well…what gave it away – the giant bulldozer out there? They are improving the practice area, why would they have new balls right now with that being the case? The course, other than the sand traps, is in pristine condition. You cannot find a dead spot on any of the greens, the fairways are full, tee boxes all very good. The sand was a product of the torrential downpours we got last week which they are working on. I don’t see how you could be disappointed at all with this track, it’s in fantastic condition – unless you’re playing out of the sand all day long.

  • Congrats…. How long have you owned the course? I played in an outing Sat. Morning…. Yes the course is improved from the goat track it has been for the past 36 mos. HOWEVER pristine is not even close to a reasonable characterization. Yes 30% of the greens have spots. Yes practice facility is pure crap ( balls and all). Yes the ownership / staff still needs a tuneup on customer relations. What’s a bit unfair in my judgement is to charge over $ 28 to anyone, anytime to play the place. On the bright side, The burger they served placed in the Belmont Stakes.

  • I agree with you ILL-INI on the pricing. Use golfnow.com and clickitgolf.com but I disagree with you on the 4.5 stars. I think ISlayMySelf’s 3.5 was generous enough given the report. RP is one of a few local courses that try to sell an average product for a premium price, kinda like hotel food. There are better courses, better deals elsewhere.

  • Maybe 4.5 was a bit generous. BTW…I don’t own the course or have any stake in how they do. In terms of fairways, tee boxes, and greens…this course in my opinion is a 4.5 right now. I didn’t play out of the sand nor do I believe in holding them completely responsible for the shape of the traps considering the copious amounts of rains we rcv’d. In addition, I won’t hold a course hostage over the fact they are upgrading their practice facilities. Now, if it were in shambles because they weren’t taking care of it in the first place, that would be an issue.
