I have been avoiding Regent Park since they seemed to be hit harder by last year’s harsh weather than surrounding courses. Their practice green is about 1/3 the size it used to be but the practice area is still pretty nice. Tees were pretty good, the fairways were in excellent shape and the rough was pretty thick. The greens are still suffering. Patchy in many areas. Maybe I have become so used to the miniverde greens (Springfield, Fort Mill, Tega Cay) that the bent greens seem sparse. Ball marks are plentiful. Again, I have to say the sand is some of the best in town – I just wish I could stay out of it.

I played here today and an employee told me that Ratcliff Golf Services lost their contract with this course, not sure if they lost the contract with all the courses they manage . Troon Golf won the bidding.
