Amazing recovery for the greens from punching 2 weeks ago. THere was some sand on the greens, but the holes from punching were completely gone. I thought the greens were perfect – the sand slowed the pace a little, but the lines held true. The sand bothered my playing partner but I don’t know why. Fairways in very good condition – I played the ball down and had no issues at all.

Red Bridge continues to amaze me with how much upkeep and improvements they continue to make. Every time I play I see several employees out on the course improving the conditions. They apparently have an owner who continues to put money into the course, and plans are for a new clubhouse in a year or so.

The only bad news is that I overheard them talking about starting to charge the prices that the course really deserves – I think the $29 specials may be gone. I don’t care – I put this course right up with Verdict Ridge, Carolina Lakes, Olde Sycamore – and even at $39 during the week and $49 on weekends their prices are more than competitive, especially when I think their conditions are better than any of those courses. The Bermuda greens are just fantastic.

This became my favorite course this past year, i just love about every hole, and it’s usally in very good, to great shape. It deserves a few bucks more, and i would have no problem paying that. My buddies may not make the trip out to Locust, but i sure will.
