"Great course"

11/14/23: Review by B-Man

Teed off around 12:40pm but didn't finish until 5:20pm. We had a few slow groups in front of us with no ranger on the course. I don't understand why you have a starter but no on-course marshal to control pace of play. That was really my only issue. The course was in...

Some minor issues on tee boxes and some fairways with dead grass. Greens look great but need to be cut (can't blame them since it has rained forever). Worth playing- Should be in great shape once the season comes around

Course is in excellent condition. Found a late deal on Golfnow for $25 and it was well worth it. We cruised around the front 9 with no problems, the only complaint would be that they were starting everyone off on 10 but people who only played 9 started at 1. We went to play our back 9 and were held up on almost every shot. Still completely worth it

Course is in great shape, greens were slow and you could tell they had been punched within the last couple of weeks but hey rolled true. My main complaint and reasoning for not giving it 5 stars was the pace of play. They piled people up even though they had a starter. We waited pretty much on every hole and probably every shot. It had to be the longest round of golf in my life. They have 3 to 4 rangers driving around but they don't do anything to speed people up. If I wasn't playing so well we probably would have quit early.

Tee boxes still have not improved. Par 3's are the worst. Some fairways have bare spots but for the most part are in great condition. Biggest issue right now is the bunkers, they are not raked and there are weeds/grass growing in them. I feel this is an easy issue to fix but shows that they aren't worried or can't pay someone to do it. I booked on teeoff.com and had a discount code so for $35 definitely worth it.

Very surprised on the conditions of this course. It is a complete turn around from the last time I played it. There are still maybe 6-7 tee boxes that need significant work but the rest of the course is in great condition. I am not sure it is worth $55 but the greens roll true and are playable. I am happy to see the change here as this has always been a favorite course of mine. On the back 9 there are a couple of holes where they are doing some minor construction but it didn't come into play.

Course is in excellent condition with the exception of about 2-3 holes in which the fringe was burned off. We had no issues with anything else on the course. I would complain that they need a marshal out there to move people along. We had a group of 3 and were constantly waiting on a group of 2 that would hit multiple shots. Behind us they let out a group of about 6 and each had their own cart. Can't beat the price if you find a special online.

I know the course is about to close but figured I would give everyone the heads up. Entire course is in great condition but the greens are 100% burned out. They charge walking rates since they are almost unplayable. If you are looking for a quick round to work on every aspect of your game except putting then it is worth it. We played the greens as an automatic 2 putt, it was like putting on a hardwood floor.

I would say 75% of the greens are in decent shape. The other 25% had bumpy patches or were bare. Fairways were extremely bare, tee boxes were good for the most part. We booked a 1:20 tee time and didn't tee off until 1:40ish. The starter was pairing people together to create foursomes but it was a waste of time. There would be a one or two some mixed in. There was also no ranger to help speed up play. We had a group constantly hit into us when there was a four some in front of us. At one point a single (with his girl in the cart) drove in front of us while we were on the green. We then had to wait for him on the next 2 holes. They need someone out there to control the pace of play

Majority of the course is in great shape. I didn't notice any issues with the bunkers, tee boxes or fairways. I would say 75% of the greens are in good shape. Most of the fringe around the greens is bare or dead. There were a couple of holes in which the greens were very bumpy and looked like they had a disease. There were bare spots and rough patches but it only affected about 25% of the greens and they were still playable. Found a special on BirdieBug for 37 bucks so it was definitely worth it. I would imagine in a couple of weeks this could be back to 5 stars

    "Never going back"
    Course photo

Posting this review for a friend. I did not play but wanted to keep everyone updated. He stated there are still significant issues with the course which now has gone into the fairways. Greens are awful and the course rarely gets mowed. Fairways have weeds growing in them and also needs to be mowed. He said they almost thought about quitting after 7 holes because the course was that bad. I am not sure what is going on there but the last 3-4 reviews have not been good and it doesn't seem as if they are making any changes to better the course

I know I posted on this course about 3 weeks ago and said it would take a lot to get me back but unfortunately I was asked to be a 4th and after I committed I found out they booked here. Not much has changed. Rough hasn't been cut in weeks, weeds growing everywhere including the greens and fairways. Bunkers weren't raked and had grass coming through. On top of all this, the starter was a complete jerk. We had a 835 tee time and he tried to push us out at 820 when our entire group was just arriving. He told us to stop talking to the other group on the first tee as "someone needs to tee off." Then after 9 when we let a 2-some play through he again yelled at us for being slow when we were doing them a favor. I have played here a lot of the last couple of years and have never seen this guy before. The course was pretty much dead other than the group behind us and the 2 some we let through yet he still told us we were moving slow. I will not return to this course until I see a better review

Course was in excellent condition. Only complaints would be about the greens on the first couple of holes. A couple of them had crab grass coming through that would interfere with putts. After about hole 4 the greens were in great shape. Course was very wet from the recent rain but was still playable. Very impressed with how far this course has come from a couple of years ago. I did have some complaints about the starter/ clubhouse. We teed off about 20 minutes late due to them being behind. There were multiple 4 somes in front of us but behind us there was 4 consecutive groups of 2 somes. They should have paired them up with each other so we didn't feel rushed, even if we let them play through they would have had no were to go.

I continuously looked for something to give them a 4.5 instead of 5 but came up with nothing. Course is in immaculate condition. Greens are excellent and roll true. Fairways, bunkers, tee boxes all in great shape as well. I haven't played here in a couple years but they also added a new GPS system to their carts that is easy to use and very helpful. I would recommend this course to everyone. Pace of play was slow but mainly because we were a 2 some playing behind a 3 some (2 older ladies and a gentleman), we caught up to them on number 8 and played the first 9 in 1:40 and the second 9 in about 2:20. If they would have let us through we would have gotten around in about 3 hours. Go play if you have the chance!!!

Course needs some significant work. Bunkers were atrocious and some have grass growing in them. It seems as if they haven't mowed in a while, the greens were hairy and very slow. The rough behind greens, off the fairways and off the tee boxes have weeds and bushes coming in. Fairways and tee boxes are about the only thing in good shape. I normally play here monthly but will be looking to change that up after this experience.

Greens rolled well but everyone in our group felt the majority of them were hard. We couldn't get the ball to stop on the green from the fairway or even chip shots. Fairways were in great shape and most of the bunkers were fine. Bunkers were a little inconsistent with the amount of sand in them but no real issues. Tee boxes were the main concern, playing from the blues we felt most of them were chewed up or had minimal grass.

Some isolated issues on the fairways and greens but overall in great shape. A lot of the tee boxes were chewed up, especially on the Par 3's. Still don't think it is worth the rack rate but if you find a deal on 3rd party site it is definitely worth it

Course was in decent shape. I believe I noticed 1 or 2 fairways that need some work to be done but everything else was great. Greens rolled slow but I feel like every time I have played here. I bought the tee time off of teeoff.com with a discount code so I will say $20 bucks was well worth it. The rangers were very friendly although we had one tell us we parked on the wrong side of the green and it slowed the group behind us down as they couldn't hit until we drove away. We felt as if he just needed to say something to know he was doing his job

Tee boxes and fairways were in decent shape but greens were in rough shape. I would say about half of the greens need significant work, they are either burned out or have sand spots all over them. These spots affected all putts and a lot of shots into the greens. I would have rated lower but we were able to get a deal of $35 (which is still high for the conditions). $55 for a regular tee time is not even close to worth it right now.

Found this deal on GolfNow and it was worth the $35 dollars but not the regular rate of $55. It has some bad burnt spots on both the fairways and greens. I will saw they are isolated issues and are only on about 3 or 4 holes. Tee boxes are in great shape. It had rained the night before and a lot of the bunkers were under water. They easily could have been fixed if there were some maintenance people working on them but it didn't look they were touched. Could be in excellent shape with a little bit of work!

Havent been here in about 2 years because of how bad it was before. Hole 7 had a rough spot on the green but the pin made sure it wasn't in play. Honestly this is in great shape. The only reason i said Good instead of Perfect is because of lazy golfers that don't fix their ball marks. Tee boxes were great, fairways perfect and greens in excellent condition. Greens rolled true and were soft. Bunkers were also great but a couple I noticed had some wall damage, or they were collapsed. Other then that they were raked and playable. Would recommend this course again!

This course is in a lot better shape then the last time I played here. Greens have small spots which caused putts to be bumpy. No issues with any of the tee boxes, many of them were in good condition. Fairways are still brown but they are playable. Teeoff.com had a special for 28.00 and that morning I received a 15% off coupon in my email so for the price of the round it was well worth it. Overall the course is probably about a month away from being back to great shape.

While the course is not very difficult it is a great course to play. Fairways were almost perfect, green and very well kept. The greens were great but had minor issues. It looked like the pin placements could have been changed to avoid little spots. All greens were in good shape and very green, couple had burns on the fringe. Tee boxes were in great shape and had plenty of grass, not spotty at all. Course is trying to grow in rough and it is finally coming in but it is still mainly weeds. Great course to play and very good conditions!!

Worth playing for 29 bucks. This is my home course as I live about 7 minutes from it. I played it 3 weeks ago and the course has greatly improved. Fairways are still a little beat up and but it is starting to green up. Greens were awful 3 weeks ago and almost unplayable. They still have some little spots but are decent to play on now. Tee boxes need help on Par 3's and short Par 4's. A couple days of rain and this course will be back in great shape.

Course was in great shape. Not as green all around as normal but still very good course to play. It is a little further out there for people coming from Uptown charlotte area but a course I play multiple times every year. Great course for price you pay. Weekends after 12 you can play for a great price. Course is a lot more difficult then it looks like. New clubhouse is under construction and looks great.

Course was in pretty good shape. Never a bad lie in the fairway and they were very green. Greens were in great condition and very green but a little shaggy. Rolled very slow. Rough is in bad shape. They have you ride the fairway for the entire round as their rough is bare. Played as a two-some and the course was very busy for a weekday round. Normal pace for play for me is around 3-3.5 hours and this took about 4 to 4:15

Fairways were in good shape. Tee boxes were awful and hard to hit off on Par 3's. Greens had a great color but are incredibly hard. I believe they changed them all recently and were decent to putt on but impossible to hit a ball into. Couldn't get irons to stop at all and balls would bounce 3 or 4 times after first landing. Got a special on ezlinks and had a coupon code so for $20 it was worth it. Hopefully rain will come and soften up the greens. Also had problems with carts. If your early they tell you to wait on the cart path after hitting balls and they will bring a cart to you. We waited a good 20 minutes before our cart was available and teed off late.
