Just to set things straight. I played Emerald Lake on the 29th and the greens were in good shape. Yes there were a couple of greens that they were working on but nothing tht affected putting. And to izzyf150 you should get your information correct before you post something because Emerld Lake does”t have bermuda greens they have cato-crenshaw bentgrass greens. Just another wnt to be superintendent i guess.
Well you got me there. Im no expert when it comes to types of grass, I assumed it might have been burmuda because this problem has been here for awhile and seeing how burmuda is dormant this time a year and the greens dont seem to be recovering I thought they might be burmuda. Anyway although Im not an expert in identifying grass I can recognize a grassless spot on the green that causes the ball to hop to a stop or get knocked off line and Emerald Lake has lots of those on every green. Like you and others have posted some greens are worse than others but every green has them. Relax man, Im sure not everyone in Charlotte reads these posts. I dont think were going to put Emerald Lake out of business. So Mr. superintendent at Emerald Lake I thank you for you educating me on the grass and you two posts that you have contributed to the web site. Keep your ratings up and business coming in.
