"Worth playing"
The last time I played this course was in 1999. It was somewhat new at the time and built on re-claimed property from a land fill. I was most impressed by the driving range and practice area for chipping and putting. Nearly every course I have gone to in the CLT area...
STAY AWAY!!! They have lost almost every green. They should shutdown for 6 months and fix!!! Worst shape ever.
Played today, major improvement on greens condition. Worth your time and money now!!
Has anyone played this course in Rock Hill? I always see deals and its cheap online at like $25 online.
Goat Ranch…
This is the second time I’ve played here and the second time I was far less than impressed.
The greens were recently punched, but they’re still the best part of this cow pasture.
I got a $15 rate on GolfNow for 9 holes so I took my 14 year old son out with me this afternoon.
The staff is nice enough, but waiting 10 minutes in the pro shop to pay for my round should never happen.
The carts are essentially death traps. The brakes barely work. There was no windshield, so when it began to rain a little, there was no way to avoid getting soaked.
The tees may as well be cement. I found it next-to-impossible to put a tee in the ground on some holes.
The fairways were burnt ou! t and I found myself in divots more often than I should have.
Overall… paying $35 (including GolfNow fees) for 9 holes with my son isn’t bad. I just wish there was a little more pride in the course.
