"Worth playing"
Got out to Springfield as I make my rounds for the updated Top 10 list (coming in May). This course has never left a great impression on me but I tried again to see if I could come to appreciate it. I made some strides in that direction, but a few things keep this course...
Hey all… I’m new to Charlotte (just moved from New Jersey to Rock Hill in February). I cover a large territory in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia for work and get to pass a lot of nice looking courses in my travel.
Anyway… on my way home almost every day, I pass a course located just off 77 South… somewhere between Exit 9 and Exit 3. The rough is all browned up, but the fairways and greens are… well… REALLY green.
Anybody know the name of the course and why the course looks so green? I know that courses will sometimes paint greens, but… never heard of painting the fairways.
Thanks for your help!

Its Dr Sifford (link on bman) its an executive 9 hole course off remount rd. One of the older public courses in charlotte that went through a lot of renovations a few years ago. its part of the ratcliff group. If you travel a lot between the 3 states check out clickitgolf.com for deals as it will give you the most extensive network as well as deals to most public courses. Olde Beau is one i want to try off 77 north of statesville.
