Coronavirus Updates for Charlotte Golf Courses

  I’ve collected updates from most of the Charlotte area public courses that have posted them. Please add if you have more current info. For now, I know of only Mooresville that has closed temporarily. All others remain open with several changes enacted (these are common at most courses):
  · Leave flagstick in – some using cup fillers or raised cups (Ballantyne, Eagle Chase, Emerald Lake, Olde Sycamore)
  · No bunker rakes
  · No ball washers
  · No water coolers
  · Bathrooms closed
  · Driving range stations further apart
  · Tee times spaced out further, no shotgun starts
  · Some – K!
  iosk check-in or pre-paid rounds only – no cash
  · Some – no trash cans
  · Some – no sand bottles
  · Some – 1 person to a cart or walk only
  · Some – designated walking hours (Olde Sycamore)

  Tega Cay is closed as of 3/28.
  According to their website, Mooresville is open for walking only.

  The hits are coming fast and furious now… all Leroy Springs golf courses have shut down effective today. That’s Springfield, Fort Mill, Lancaster and Chester Golf Clubs.
  Statement from Leroy Springs:
  “Despite the precautions we have taken, many of our staff positions conduct transactions with the public which have been difficult to isolate. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to suspend operations at all four Springs Golf courses, effective the end of the day today (April 1, 2020). Maintenance operations will continue.”

  Highland Creek has closed their range and putting green. The course itself is still open.

  And they’re back! All 4 Leroy Springs golf courses re-open May 1st with the typical COVID-19 social distancing rules — Fort Mill, Springfield, Lancaster and Chester Golf Club.
