Hate to say it, but the economy seems to have really taken a toll on course conditions. Not too long ago – 5 years or so, if memory serves – most public courses would have nice turf and good greens in April. Good bunker conditions were a given. Teeboxes the same. Now it seems that average conditions are thin fairways, plus/minus greens, tee boxes fair to poor, and bunkers are “rake your own”. Sad.
