Eagle Chase Golf Club

"Great course"

Played Eagle Chase for the first time yesterday. I had heard about the elevation changes, but I wasn't expecting as much as I saw. If you're a straight hitter, you'll have no problems here. If not, plan on losing balls. The Bermuda rough can be brutal, and if you get in...

Hi all. Just moved back to the Charlotte area from Raleigh and am looking for good membership options in the area. I am near south park mall and most courses in the area are country clubs or the muni courses. Price range is ~$200/month and would ideally want the membership to include range balls or practice area access but not a dealbreaker. Doesn’t need to include anything other than golf (no kids/mid-20 year old) like pool or tennis. Open to suggestions. Thanks

This is an old guide (3 years ago) but it lists many of the clubs in your area. So you can at least get an idea of what’s around you:

Top 10 Country Clubs in Charlotte

My suggestions would be to look at Piper Glen (they are part of ClubCorp which gives you access to the whole network of clubs across the country), Cedarwood (affordable), Raintree (36 holes) or Providence Country Club (part of the McConnell group of clubs).

      Hey All,

I am also in South Charlotte and have recently looked at Cedarwood ($25k, 2 year wait), Raintree ($20k), and Piper ($30k, short wait). All are near or above $500/month.

There are no inexpensive privates anymore in this area. Even the semis like Emerald are $20k initiation.

I am waiting for the next recession and playing all the courses here on B-man’s site.
