Olde Sycamore is now one of the more dependable public courses for conditions and rates. It is a fun layout where you don't need driver off the tee very often and I've played it for over 2 decades. So it feels like an old friend when I get back here to play.
The greens...
Pureeeee is the best word to describe this place. A lot of the skunks were in rough shape so stay away from the bunkers. Fun tee shots and scoreable if you are in the right areas.
The greens were super slippery but I thought everything was in good shape. Most fairways are quite wide and the greens are huge. One knock is there are some pretty long par 3's 200+ yards from the 1 up tees. Played here a handful of times and pace is usually slow...
Noticed this course on this site and curious if anyone has played it yet? Mooresville is pretty close and with lower rates for seniors even on weekends and typical course conditions will be hard to beat.
