Olde Sycamore is now one of the more dependable public courses for conditions and rates. It is a fun layout where you don't need driver off the tee very often and I've played it for over 2 decades. So it feels like an old friend when I get back here to play.
The greens...
Dodged this course for years due to the condition it was in; however, that has all changed. Ratcliffe is doing a great job with this place and the greens were some of the best I've played this year.
Will definitely be going back.
Given the apparent pride they take in this course (read--price) you would think they would have the greens back by now. The places that were good were real good, the places that were bad were down right unacceptable.
Pace of play was awful. How in the world do two twosomes hold up a foursome?
Noticed this course on this site and curious if anyone has played it yet? Mooresville is pretty close and with lower rates for seniors even on weekends and typical course conditions will be hard to beat.
