Olde Sycamore is now one of the more dependable public courses for conditions and rates. It is a fun layout where you don't need driver off the tee very often and I've played it for over 2 decades. So it feels like an old friend when I get back here to play.
The greens...
Course was in really good shape. Fairways and greens were excellent. Greens have a mix of grasses but they were mowed close and rolled true and fairly fast. As long as they keep the greens in decent shape, which is a problem for them in the heat, it’s a great course to play. Nice facilities as well.
Noticed this course on this site and curious if anyone has played it yet? Mooresville is pretty close and with lower rates for seniors even on weekends and typical course conditions will be hard to beat.
