Olde Sycamore is now one of the more dependable public courses for conditions and rates. It is a fun layout where you don't need driver off the tee very often and I've played it for over 2 decades. So it feels like an old friend when I get back here to play.

Played in an event there and LOVED the layout. Sounded like they will be closed for a little for renovations but highly recommend making the drive up to play this track. Difficult course but lots of fun.
It’s definitely not the nicest looking track in the area but for the price it is a great deal. I LOVED the layout especially from holes 8-17. Was still “winter” golf and a bit wet which was to be expected. But the greens were in good shape and the employees were welcoming. My only complaint on the course is hole #18. It’s a blind tee shot on a par 5 which I’m fine with but once we got to our ball we noticed golf balls EVERYWHERE. The range is situated that players are hitting directly into 18 fairway. Either they need to fix this or just not allow golfers to hit more than a certain distance on the range. Overall great experience and definitely will be playing there again!
Noticed this course on this site and curious if anyone has played it yet? Mooresville is pretty close and with lower rates for seniors even on weekends and typical course conditions will be hard to beat.
