Olde Sycamore is now one of the more dependable public courses for conditions and rates. It is a fun layout where you don't need driver off the tee very often and I've played it for over 2 decades. So it feels like an old friend when I get back here to play.
The greens...
I wish I could add pictures you wouldn't have to read this. This course is not worth any of your hard earned money. Go literally anywhere else. Staff saying stressed from heat/rain and they are improving is just being dishonest. You are starting at worst greens in Charlotte there's nothing to do but improve. Tee boxes are poor, rough overgrown and where it was cut large clumps of grass piled everywhere. $80...shame on you Divide. Your course conditions are nowhere close to delivering value.
Unfortunately you can skip this course for the foreseeable future. It's been a year since the new diamond zoysia greens were sodded and they have already had to replace 4 of those. The day we played they had 4 temp greens but still charged the full $55 rate. The other greens are are so shaggy its like putting on the fringe. One positive is fairways in good shape. Literally play anywhere else right now.
Noticed this course on this site and curious if anyone has played it yet? Mooresville is pretty close and with lower rates for seniors even on weekends and typical course conditions will be hard to beat.
