Olde Sycamore is now one of the more dependable public courses for conditions and rates. It is a fun layout where you don't need driver off the tee very often and I've played it for over 2 decades. So it feels like an old friend when I get back here to play.

Showed up early for an early morning tee time. They're doing a lot of construction/upgrades, but there was no driving range. Many of the bunkers were under construction and were free drop areas. The course drained pretty well, especially after the heavy rain the week we played. Greens rolled well. Had a lot of fun at this course and will drive up to Statesville to play this again.
Noticed this course on this site and curious if anyone has played it yet? Mooresville is pretty close and with lower rates for seniors even on weekends and typical course conditions will be hard to beat.
