Olde Sycamore is now one of the more dependable public courses for conditions and rates. It is a fun layout where you don't need driver off the tee very often and I've played it for over 2 decades. So it feels like an old friend when I get back here to play.
The greens...
played day after CGA qualifier (scores were still posted).greens had poa but rolled really good. an employee said they lowered mower height and double cut. give it two weeks of hot wet weather and this course will be awesome.
Customer golf round at one of my favorite public courses.
As always the fairways and tee boxes were great. I played pretty well so rough wasn't to challenging. The couple of times I missed fairways the rough was mowed and down from cart traffic. Greens are coming back from aerifying. Could still see holes. They must still have bent grass greens b/c they were stressed from summer heat.
i love this layout. I don't know they designer but it's a great course.
Noticed this course on this site and curious if anyone has played it yet? Mooresville is pretty close and with lower rates for seniors even on weekends and typical course conditions will be hard to beat.
