4/18/14 - Verdict Ridge Golf & Country Club "Worth playing" Where is everybody? Played Verdict at 8 AM and nobody else there. Got around in 2 hours and 50 minutes. Greens and traps in good shape. Fairways just starting to green up and just need a week of warm weather to have green turf again. Great course and staff. Read The Review
4/13/14 - The 500 Club "Worth playing" Played early Sunday morning and starter was already flustered with no shows/late arrivals. Got bumped around as he made up groups based on who showed up, but got off within 15 minutes of booked tee time. Be advised the road into the course from I-77 is closed due to bridge replacement. Detour is well marked, but adds 5-10 minutes to travel time. Conditions OK for time of year with pretty bumpy greens due to aeration a week or so ago. Traps raked and dry. Course Marshall out and visible, but we got around in 4 hours with minimal waits on a few par 3's. You can play two rounds at Fox Den for price of one round at Warrior. Good value and fun course with a few quirky holes. Read The Review
4/13/14 - Warrior Golf Club "Worth playing" Played with a couple of members who helped make it an enjoyable round. Tee boxes really chewed up with basically no turf. Greens had been aerated a week or so ago and still pretty bumpy. Maybe could use a little more top dressing. Rebuilding fairway bunkers on 15 and tee box on 17. Traps dry and raked around greens. Rate is $10 higher than Verdict Ridge and really should be $10 less. Got around in 4 hours. Still an enjoyable course. Hope they invest in some turf for tee boxes. Read The Review
4/12/14 - Verdict Ridge Golf & Country Club "Worth playing" Arrived at 7:50 AM for 8:40 AM tee time. Nobody there so they let me out at 8 AM. Got around in less than 3 hours. Fairways were being aerated and a few greens still bumpy, but traps in good shape and raked except for a couple on back side. Pretty well drained with only a few wet areas in fairways. Looks like fairways had been mowed as there were lots of clippings in clumps. Overall, pretty typical shape for this time of year. Staff and facility excellent. Still one of the best courses in northern Charlotte area. Read The Review
