Olde Sycamore is now one of the more dependable public courses for conditions and rates. It is a fun layout where you don't need driver off the tee very often and I've played it for over 2 decades. So it feels like an old friend when I get back here to play.
The greens...
The course is in the best shape I've seen since I started playing it a few years ago. The greens are a very nice surprise. Almost perfect for the whole course. The fairways are even great condition also. Overall, a BIG step up from last year. A nice surprise since my group and I had stopped going late last fall due to bad course conditions.
The fairways are really coming in now after the redesign. It has taken a while but this spring and summer should provide some good play.
The greens are super fast. Almost too fast for radical sloping on some of these greens.
This is my favorite place to practice. Generally there not a lot of players on the range and I like some privacy when practicing.
Noticed this course on this site and curious if anyone has played it yet? Mooresville is pretty close and with lower rates for seniors even on weekends and typical course conditions will be hard to beat.
