It’s been just about a year since I played this course the first time.
It was better the second time around.
Like most courses with blind shots and acute dog leg holes, the second time around brings familiarity.

I was joined by 11 others and we got there early to hit some balls on their range and the really large putting practice area.

Since the BMan bumped this course in the ‘top ten’ rankings for 2025, our group was very interested to check it out and determine why it’s now #2.

First the greens were just outstanding! Running fast, true and a making the experience so much more enjoyable.

The views on this course are simply unmatched by any other courses in the area.
Designed around beautiful Lake Wright, it makes for some great vistas!

The grass in the fairway was a nice relief from ‘picking’ the ball off the fairway in many other area courses.

It’s country golf in a rural setting and it’s been ‘discovered’ so even playing during the week it was busy but we had experienced golfers in front of us so the pace of play was right at 4.5 hours.

You will be challenged by water on many holes, there are ponds and criss crossing creeks but it’s not excessive.

Very reachable Par 3’s which are always fun for scoring.

You’ll really like #18, a blind shot up a hill and those that can drive it in the fairway, 250 yards or so will find themselves with an inviting wedge shot into the green but DON’T be long or you are over a CLIFF!

Noticed this course on this site and curious if anyone has played it yet? Mooresville is pretty close and with lower rates for seniors even on weekends and typical course conditions will be hard to beat.
