Having moved to Charlotte in October ’23, I’d say Verdict Ridge is the best public or semi-private course I’ve played. Excellent condition – greens, tees and bunkers were really nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful and for the senior rate of $55, it’s fantastic value. Enjoyed the layout – lots of variety and several sets of tees to choose from. Nicely stocked pro-shop, good snack bar/restaurant as well and excellent practice area I could play this course every day and never get bored – lots of elevation changes, green undulations and uneven lies. Overall, very challenging but fair golf course. I would highly recommend playing here.

  • Dean,
My wife and I are looking to retire there next spring. Is this a course you would consider joining? I see the slopes are high which is great. Are there homes around the course? I’d like to live in the area nearest my course. TIA

  • Definitely would consider joining if it were closer for me – I live in the Uptown/SouthEnd area so it’s a lengthy jaunt currently. There are some homes around the course and course routing takes you through a neighborhood twice (I think). However, there are not homes on every hole and I wouldn’t consider that a problem. I played with the pro(Jim Lusk) my first round there and he couldn’t have been nicer They currently have a waiting list for full golf memberships, but if you pay the $5K initiation fee and monthly dues, they immediately place you on both the waiting list and you get a Sport membership which gives you playing privileges Mon-Thurs. Send me an email @ wdberry1961@gmail.com with any other questions.

Noticed this course on this site and curious if anyone has played it yet? Mooresville is pretty close and with lower rates for seniors even on weekends and typical course conditions will be hard to beat.
