  First time playing Birkdale. Loved the layout – lots of variety and the course overall was in great condition. The new greens putted great – both speed and condition. New bunkers look and play great. They’re in the process of building luxury apartments and a hotel nearby, so no driving range for the time being and a temporary parking area with a shuttle to and from the clubhouse. Decent pro shop, excellent service all around and a nice tavern to have a cold one after the round. Golf carts appear to be new also. I’d definitely play it again.
