"Great course"

Tee boxes could use a little TLC. Fairways were in very good shape. Although we weren’t in a lot of bunkers, they were in good shape. Fluffy sand. Greens were recently sanded so they played pretty slow and a little bumpy. But not very many blemishes or dead spots. Friendly...

I played Westport last weekend. Course is in OK shape from tee to green. Some teeboxes are sparse, but others are fine. Fairways are decent. There are some thin areas. Greens are quicker than they seem. Don’t know when you are planning on coming down, but this course always greens up in summer.
If you don’t like to wail away with driver every hole, then you’ll like the layout at Westport. I will use driver on 4 or 5 holes max during a round. There isn’t much water that comes into play (save the first hole; don’t tee off without taking a look down the hill at the pond). There’s quite a few doglegs, along with a driveable par 4 (#15).
You can usually find a discount tee time that makes the course worth it.
