"Worth playing"

4/13/24: Review by Kimchi Golfs

Straight forward course and not terribly difficult - other than the greens, which offer a good challenge. The course is mostly in good condition, even with the recent rain. Can’t say I’ll be making the 45 minute drive to play here regularly, but it’s worth making it...

Conditions were terrific. I would have liked slightly plusher tee boxes to allow for turf-tees, which were not an option. Fairways were in excellent condition. Very forgiving. Not tight. Greens were faster than most other public's I've played recently, but not too quick (maybe 25% faster). There are some really hard par 4's on this course (long) - especially the front where water is in play. The par 3's were fairly long too. If it weren't for the heat and walking, I'd have loved it. But by the back 9, I was roasting and soaked.

recently aerated, slow, fuzzy, lumpy and inconsistent. but that wasn't the big issue. a number of greens had significant die-off. worst i have seen. tee boxes were in better shape than Emerald, for example. Fairways were AOK. I plan to give it a couple of months for the greens to recover from the Summer onslaught before returning again.

Greens nice but super firm. Fairways: some good. some a bit tight and dry. tee boxes were rough. don't expect any turf-tees here. Was an enjoyable, albeit SLOW round.

It was a wet morning. Greens were super slow and lumpy (not true). Needed a mow badly. But conditions were good. Quite a lit of ground under repair and some standing water on some par 3s. But for the money, a surprisingly good round. Course itself is very forgiving of tee shot errors except on a couple of holes (#6 for example). I would play it again.
