- "Worth playing"
greens A+, fairways very thin, bunkers were playable, the ball will sit down in the rough buddy lost a ball 10 feet off of #7 green never to be seen again, tees were in good shape. pace of play was horrible the 2 groups in front of us were no match for the tees they played from. at one point there was 5 groups on one hole #13. Pins were in very tough spots no flat putts today. When there is an almost full tee sheet there should be a ranger roaming around the course. Read The Review

The greens were great. Haven't played here in 5 years because the greens were always horrible. Now that being said it's too bad the rest of the course is just average or maybe they are getting ready to overseed. Tee boxes were barren. #9 gold was a beach. The rest patchy at best. Fairways were very thin and lots of weeds except for a few holes but it would have been nice to hit from some grass. That's why I tried to play from the rough. Bunkers were soft. $26 was a great deal but I think the rest of east charlotte showed up. Must have been a full tee sheet on a wed and it played like it. 4 hours for a twosome is too long. Waited on every shot. It may be another year or 2 before I go back and play, in the afternoon. Always hated the first hole with it next to the clubhouse and the loud social hour that commences behind you while you tee off. Read The Review

white tees chewed up, fairways great shape, rough ball will sit down in certain areas but fair, some greens showing summer stress but pins were away from these areas. suprisingly not a lot of ball marks even though the greens were soft. bunkers raked and had soft sand. play here once or twice a year due to distance. good value except at 1130am the snack bar had 1 hot dog (still raw) going with at least 10 buns in the machine. eagle chase still has the best dogs. - "Great course"
greens showing heat stress but holding up. #12 I think was resodded again. bunkers raked and in good shape. fairways thin, the ball will bounce and roll a good distance.looks like they had equipment in the parking lot to start working on the cart paths and chop down some trees. overall as always a good experience. Bunkers raked, tees growing in, fairways finally are green, greens are in better shape from what they were a few weeks ago (#12 still having issues). Overall wish I could putt. Have to learn all the new breaks, just glad my ball has stopped backing off #3 green. Read The Review

- "Best of the best"
Amazing. just amazing. This was a course that i would play all the time spring and fall but forget about the summer greens would always die. What a value. i have waited a long time for this course to redo the greens and its nothing short of awesome. i like that they have also fixed some contours on 3,12, and 16 because my ball would always spin off those 3 greens. will have to relearn the greens since i have stayed away for so long. Fresh sand in the bunkers. new tee box on 12 makes it more playable. love the course. i have always liked tom jackson designs too. Read The Review

only second time I have given a course a 5. New ownership, friendly staff, tee to green plush. Couple of bounces did not go my way which killed me on the par 5's. Sand was smooth to hit out of and looks like they are making a new tee box on 11 left of cart path on the hill. Read The Review

- "Average"
The heat is now taking it's toll on the greens. I love playing here, but stay away during July and August because the heat just beats up the greens. I decided to give it a try since we have had so much rain lately. The greens held very well but after reaching the first green I knew I was in for a 2 putt max on each hole. Some had weeds growing others were burning up. Bunkers were shot but I think it rained the night before. Fairways, tees, and rough were all in great shape. With all that said I was told that they do have new owners who may install mini verde greens next year, fix the bunkers, and repair the cart paths that so many people complain about. I hope they do. Wally and his team are top notch and kudos to the staff for trying to keep the greens alive, but alas it's time for change. Bent grass just can't survive the heat we get for 2 months. Will be back in Sept. Read The Review

- "Great course"
Had to go back after the good experience we had last time. With clickit deal and $10 off coupon paid only $21. Golf course was still in great shape for being the end of summer only the greens are starting to show the wear of unfixed ball marks. It's sad that something so easily fixable by us golfers is so forgotten (laziness). Too bad it takes over an hour to get there, so looks like we will be back next year. Read The Review

I normally do not give 5 stars for any course, but going off previous reviews we had to check this course out. Greens in great shape especially when they hold long and short iron shots into them (had a ball suck back 29 ft), fairways had some run to them, rough an average height, driving range (free balls),practice green speed was the same as on the course (very rare at most golf courses), free bottled water available on course, clubhouse staff friendly. The rate drop as well as a clickit discount deal made it a no brainer. you will not find a better public course in this condition at this time of year anywhere. Read The Review
