Played at 11 am, course was fairly empty, in a foursome and no wait. 4 hr round. Greens in good shape but probably the fastest greens I have played in the Charlotte area this year. Some tough pin locations. Tee boxes, fairways, rough all in good shape. Very challenging course with lots of trees. If closer to Charlotte I would play more often. I think the more you play this courses the better you play here. A little on the expensive side if not member, but golfnow has some discounts.

A good day at Edgewater. At arrival an attendant pulled a cart up to help us load. Very friendly. Same with the check in and starter. Very friendly all around. Course in good shape. Tee boxes and fairways nice. Bunkers not raked after rain the previous evening. Cart path only due to rain. Rough is up and can be tough. Greens were ok. Small punches healing and not really issue. After round again very friendly with attendant putting clubs in car and taking cart. Someone from the pro shop came out and thanked us for coming out and playing. Again, never seen this high level of service at any of the public courses in Charlotte. Here is hoping this course does well.

Tee boxes, fairways and bunkers in good shape. Greens were a mixed bag. Front nine in good shape. Several greens on back nine on the edge. Very thin grass with dirt starting to show. Made putting the back nine a challenge as some were super fast while others a bit slower. Need the heat to break so the greens can survive this very hot, dry summer.

I will admit to my bias. I love this course. People are great and course is very playable. The bent greens are what I like. The greens are not overly fast or slow. Normal ball marks that people did not fix are always a problem (at every course). I was first one out in the morning and played slower to stay behind the mowers. Tee boxes pretty chewed up on some holes. Rough not too bad in most places. Fairways in ok shape as they (and every course) needs more rain. Very friendly people run the course as it is a relaxed atmosphere. Course can play slower as they get pretty packed on week ends, early or late play is recommended to beat the crowds.

Played on Friday morning. These greens have always given me problems as I never seem to get the speed right. But the greens were fast and in good condition. They were receptive to a good shot. I will need to figure out mini verde as more courses go in that direction. Fairways were fine, tee boxes ok but some chewed up. Rough was right up to the fairway and was very difficult. Very thick. It also seems the fairways are narrower on this course. Overall the course is in good shape and I just need to figure out these greens and stay away from the rough.

Wrote a review a few weeks ago from my previous two outings at The Divide. Unfortunately things have drastically changed. Greens have significant issues. Some on the front 9 are unputtable (we used a 2 putt maximum on a few holes). Green speeds were very slow. Almost all have some issues but hole locations were away from problems. Back nine better than front. Tee boxes pretty beaten up. Fairways were spotty and we not fully filled in with grass creating some issues. Pace of play was great and staff was friendly. I hate to see these problems as I really like this layout. Hopefully they can correct the problems with the greens.

I played on Saturday morning with three of us. No issues on pace of play as we were out early and finished in under 3 1/2 hours. Greens were in good shape but seemed slow. On uphill putts I could not get the ball to the hole. Many tee boxes had issues as not a lot of grass, but teeing it up it really did not matter except it looked bad. Fairways were pretty hard but greening up. No issues on any of the bunkers I hit out of. Overall a nice day. Only thing keeping me from giving a 4 star were the tee boxes, pace of greens, and fairways being pretty hard (but the ball did run well).

Played Renaissance for the first time in about 6 months. Previous reviews showed problems with greens. I am glad to report there has been some improvement. The greens on the front nine were in much better shape than the last time I played. The back nine was more hit or miss with some ok, and some with issues. The tee boxes remain a problem. Many are not level and hard to find a level place to tee off. Most are pretty well chewed up. Fairways and rough are also hit and miss. Some ok, some with some issues. Hopefully improvement will come once the weather gets warmer. I got the senior member week day rate, so for the price I paid I am ok with playing the course. However, I would not pay full price for this course as there are much better courses around.

Played Lancaster and overall very pleased. There were a bunch of groups stacked up on the first tee so the guy in the pro shop came out and told us we could start on #10. That made all the difference in the world. We followed a 3 some and never waited on a shot. Played in under 3.5 hours. Greens are in good shape and fast. This is a course you need to play a few times to get the hang of the greens and where not to place the ball on the greens (stay away from downhill putts). Fairways were dormant but ok. Only in one bunker and it was raked nicely. Tee boxes in mostly good shape. Friendly and helpful staff. If closer to where I lived and played more I could see this being one of my favorite courses.

Played Tega Cay on Saturday afternoon. We were a threesome on the front and 1 player dropped out at the turn. Course in good shape. Greens were very good and very fast. Tee boxes a little chewed up but could find a place to tee it up. Fairways dormant but good. Traps I was in were fine. Pace ok, a little slow but not terrible. Only strange thing was it was cart path only. I didn't see much water on the fairways, they seemed really pretty dry. Not sure why it was cart path only.

I saw the previous review and thought we would give it a try. I have to admit I was expecting the worse and pleasantly surprised. The course was in good shape overall. As the previous review stated the greens are in really good shape, probably the best I have seen these greens. Bunker work was noted on several holes. Some of the tee boxes pretty beat up but a guy was seeding them as we played. Also, it appears they are moving their tee placements around on some hols trying to allow tee boxes to heal. We will be adding this course back to our rotation given it's current state and affordable price.

Course in very nice condition overall. Fairways, bunkers, tee boxes good. Greens in great shape but wicked fast on downhill putts. Pins were placed in very difficult positions and near edge of greens. Made putting very difficult with the pace and placement causing me several 3 putts. I could never get a good feel for the greens.

Continued best value in Charlotte. Fairways good shape, some fairly hard given the lack of rain. In a few bunkers and they were in good shape. Rough was thick and definitely cost me a few strokes. Greens in good shape for late summer. Golfers really need to fix their ball marks. Good pace for a Sunday afternoon. Vic and Robby really nice guys in pro shop. Always helpful and friendly. My favorite course in the area.

It has been a while so we thought we would give this course another try. Got a good $28 click it deal and we played as a 3 some. Got to the course early. $6 for half a bucket of dirty not in best condition balls? Range is very beat up and very hard ground. Practice green in ok condition but expecting perfect for mini verde at this time of year. Greens were a little hit and miss. Some in good condition some having a few issues. I have never read and putted these greens well so maybe that had some impact today. Fairways in fairly nice condition for the most part. They had just mowed them so lots of mowed grass on the fairways. Not in bunkers but my playing partner said they were raked. Tee boxes ok, but not great. Rough was fairly thick and penal so keep it straight. Finally, it was fairly empty parking lot for a Friday morning. Cart girl was nice to see on a hot day on the back nine. Overall, probably getting better and if you get a good price take a chance.

First time at this course and I was very impressed with the conditions. Tee boxes good, fairways in great shape, greens as close to perfect as you will see in the area. Bunkers in good shape also. I like the layout and the dramatic elevation changes. Only negative was there was no starter so it was tough to tell when you were up and they were pretty busy. Overall on par with Edgewater but not as far for me.

I really like the layout and I typically score well here. However, the conditions were average at best. Some fairways are ok and others have large dirt areas. Some drives had some very big bounces and a lot of roll. Bunkers were spotty with some raked and others not in good shape. The greens appear to be on the edge. Lots of ball marks and spotty areas. The heat must be getting to the greens since they are bent. The putts rolled ok but I could see problems in the future. Many tee boxes are not level and they were pretty torn up. Overall I was disappointed and probably will not return for a while.

Overall, I really like this course. The layout is nice and the staff are some of the best in Charlotte. Very friendly laid back people. Greens were puched a few weeks ago so they were still healing. Some bumps and wobbles but not bad overall, greens will be great in a few weeks. Fairways still brown and a few of the bunkers were a little wet. Par 5 #15 back open as a par 5 after being a par 3 for most of the winter. Clubhouse coming along nicely and owner stated they hope to have it open by May 1st. Course staff and management continue to improve this place and my only worry is it becomes too popular with Golf Links shutting down.

Played on a Sunday afternoon. I really like this course even though it is a haul from Charlotte. Nice friendly staff as usual. Laid back atmosphere. Pace of play was good at right at 4 hours. Fairways are starting to green up a bit, within a month they will be real nice. Some areas were fairly hard so big roll in the fairway, but it made approach shots a little more difficult. Greens were very good and the ball rolled well. You could barely see the punch marks, a few weeks and the greens will be perfect. I was in a couple of bunkers and they were in good shape.

Course in great shape. Greens near perfect. Good roll on the fairways. Not many on the course and no one in front of us or behind us until the final 2 holes. Bunkers in good shape and rough still pretty thick. Great course if you don't mind the drive from Clt.

Playing behind a tournament and it was a 5 hr15 minute brutal round waiting on almost every shot. No rangers on the course moving people along. Greens were very fast and there were a few with problems. Fairways hard as rock. Rough still fairly thick surprisingly. Great price for Veterans on Veterans Day but way too slow.

OK, maybe I hit this course on the wrong day. Get to the course and the parking lot is packed at noon. Had to park in an overflow lot. Check in and guy says we need to wait for a cart even though there are two sitting outside. He offers no other info on the course. I wait for 20 min and no cart offered. So I see 3 sitting there so I go back inside for a cart key and he acts like he has never seen me. Finally get the cart and head to 1st tee. Starter comes up and is really nice. He tells us the pro booked a tournament but did not tell anyone. So basically they are double booked and slow. Why didn't the pro shop guy tell me and offer me another tee time later or rain check since I prepaid? Front nine in good shape but a 3 hour front nine took the joy out of playing as we waited on every shot and every tee. One tee I could see 5 groups on 2 holes, brutal. On 10th tee it looked just as bad so we circled back and played the front nine again. No one around us and we played in 1:45 minutes. I have read a lot of good reviews but I will not be back after this terrible experience.

Course in very good shape. Tee boxes nice, fairways good, greens close to perfect. Only in one fairway bunker which was in good shape. Some wet spots but overall not bad given all the rain. Rough was fairly thick even just off fairway so bring your straight driver. 90 degree rule for carts. Pace was under 4 hours and we saw no one most of our round. One single played through our foursome. Nice folks in the pro shop and free bottle water on the course is a nice touch. If it was not so far I would play all the time.

Played Renaissance at 6:30 AM. First off and a nice fast round. Rough was high and fairways in ok shape. Didn't get into bunkers so can't comment but with all the rain most courses have problems with bunkers now. The front 9 greens were fine. The back 9 greens seemed to be under stress. No impact on how the ball rolled but I did notice they looked to be in trouble. Speed a little slow on the greens but fairly typical for this course. Pro shop staff friendly and efficient.

Course remains in good shape. Fairways were nice, rough was very rough. Easy to lose balls. Bunkers were hit and miss, some were ok while others had water. Greens rolled well but seemed a little slow. There were unrepaired ball marks and some areas of the greens seemed under stress. No impact on how the ball rolled on the greens. This continues to be my favorite course in the area with a very friendly staff and laid back atmosphere.

Overall, conditions were good and pace of play ok. We were a threesome and the front nine was good until #8. Then a wait on every hole. There were at least two fivesome's in front of us that I saw. There were also several twosomes and threesomes so everyone was waiting every hole. Greens are in good shape and rolling true. I did not hit any bunkers but my playing partner was in several and said they were pretty hard. Fairways in ok condition with lots of run out in dry conditions. Great people as always in pro shop.

We decided to go out early and were the first off at 6:30. Course conditions were the usual. Terrible bunkers, some bad tee boxes but greens in ok shape. Cart path only but we got around the front nine in under 2 hours. Then on #10 there are several groups in front of us. I call the pro shop and they say no one should be in front of us. They said they will send some out. They didn't or it had no effect. We waited on every hole on the back nine. No course should put multiple player groups in front of their first tee time. I will not be back. For the money there are better deals in Charlotte.

First time playing here. Tee boxes and fairways perfect. Greens in good shape and fast. The only knock was the group in front of us was slow on the back nine. The woman in the pro shop tried to get us out in front of them but we were waiting on.two guys from our foursome. I like the course as there are some easy holes and some hard holes. Fairways had real nice grass to hit from, like a nice private club. Great price and value. Little bit of a haul from Charlotte and traffic through Monroe. I will be back here again.

Course in fairly good shape. Greens are perfect. Fast and in great shape. Some fairways and some tee boxes grass is burnt out and brown. Bring your hammer for some of the tee boxes, hard as a rock. Rough is really "Rough". Easy to lose balls in very thick rough on many of the holes. Some really tough pin placements on several holes today. Pace of play was good and we made it around in just under 4 hrs. Price included lunch so not a bad deal.

Another course I really like. The course sets up good for me. Tee boxes okay except a few tees. fairways in really good shape given heat. The rough is not too bad. The greens were very soft. They must be pouring a lot of water on the greens. Lots of unfixed ball marks on all greens. Had a tough time getting the speed right probably due to operator error. Pace of play was outstanding.

I really like this course. I got out first and played fast. Course is defintely showing wear and tear of a lot of play. Tee boxes okay and fairways in most places okay. I was not in the bunkers so don't know how they were but they have been hit or miss in the past. Greens were slow for me but it may be because I was ahead of the mowers for the most part. The greens were definitely showing marks from where people did not fix their ball marks. Fairly bumpy on putts.

I like the set up of this course but I am afraid they are losing some of the greens. The greens seemed to get better as we progressed on the course but the front nine has a lot of issues. I almost hated to walk on some of the greens. Many have the fans going so I am sure they are trying to keep them through the heat but they are on the edge. There were a lot of bumps on the putts making the round more difficult, Finally figured out to hit it firm at the hole and that helped on the back. Fairways were fine, no major issues on the tee boxes. Pace of play was great for a Friday morning. I like the practice area because of the chipping area. Staff are friendly and helpful and gave me a better rate than I expected (may be because I practice there a lot),
