Verdict Ridge is still my #1 choice in Charlotte. Greens are near perfect. Everything was in good shape and it was 90 degree cart rule on most holes. I don’t get to play here often enough because it’s a haul from Indian Trail to Denver. That means I sometimes forget the trouble you can get into on a few holes (such as #15) where the fairway runs out into a hazard. There are a ton of hills and elevation changes giving you very few flat lies. So Verdict Ridge remains a formidable challenge. The course was using normal hole cups. I actually wish they would use a filler or turn them upside down like some courses so it’s easier to retrieve a ball without touching the flagstick. The driving range was open and carts were normal use.
