  Tee to green in excellent shape. An number of holes have hard-pan dirt off the fairways and some first cut, but this has pretty much always been the case. Greens had been aerated fairly recently but were rolling well and in another week should be darn near perfect. Great layout and not an easy one by any means. Donald Ross designed front nine and George Cobb designed back nine, ‘nuf said.
