This remains one of my favorite courses, especially the back 9 — on which I broke par for the first time in my life. 😛 The greens were immaculate. They simply don’t mark up and roll really well. Tees, fairways and bunkers were all in fine shape. I know folks complain about the cart paths, but they let you in the fairway pretty early. So it’s easy to avoid them for the most part. Late afternoon is a perfect time to play here when it’s not very crowded. And $29 is a great deal. Can’t recommend this course enough for when you can make the drive out there.

Stonebridge Golf Club: Mon 4/3 (closed) and Tue 4/4 (9 holes). Rounds will be discounted $10 through 4/9.

Funny, B’man, Eagle Chase back 9 is the first (maybe only) place I broke par as well, and I share your love for the course. Best value in Charlotte hands down and I think one of the best courses, period. Also best course after heavy rain – everything but the bunkers drains really well.
We played Sunday morning (7/9) and couldn’t agree more with your review. For the price it is one of the nicest maintained courses in our area. My only small issue was the pace of play. Almost 5 hours. But it’s still a demanding but fun course.
