Played early Saturday morning. Unfortunately the first group out (7 am) was on a 5+ hour pace. The course quickly became a log jam. The rangers did nothing about it until it was too late. The course was in good shape but the pace of play and the lack of attention by the rangers made it miserable. With the price getting higher ($60 including range balls), I expect more.

Sad what has happened to Skybrook. From one of the better public courses in town to a total goat track. They aren't maintaining their bunkers, AT ALL. They have bushes growing in greenside bunkers. The carts died on the 18th hole. They pretty much aren't mowing anything but the fairways and greens. Multiple people who had not been to the course before commented this it was the worst golf course they had ever played.

I have wondered about "the Lark" for a while and finally played it. Goat track. For $43 you can play about a 5 courses around town that are better. Tee boxes were terrible. Fairways were mediocre. Greens on the front were terrible, only decent on the back. Traps mediocre. Glad I have seen it, and will not go back.

    "Great course"

The Bermuda greens at Red Bridge are thriving in this heat and may be the best in Charlotte right now. This course is quirky target golf but in my opinion one of the best tracks in the area. Their greens got hurt by the cold winter but now will fare better than most courses in this heat. The course still has some rough spots but for the money and the fact that many courses in Charlotte are losing their greens, it is the place to play.

Course is in good shape. Greens holding up well. One of my favorite courses in the area and well worth the drive up to Statesville.

    "Bad, stay away"

Finally made the long drive out to Eagle Chase. The course layout is great with lots of elevation changes and the fairways, tee boxes and bunkers were generally good. Unfortunately the greens were in TERRIBLE shape. What made it worse was that I specifically asked about the greens before I made the drive out and was told they were fine. Understandable that the greens are getting killed in this heat but they should be honest about it. Also, get ready for a bumpy ride as their cart paths are a disaster.

Anyone been out to Red Bridge lately? Heard they about lost their greens a while back?
