    "Worth playing"

The course was in good shape for this time of year as the fairways are starting to go dormant. The greens were very fast, they looked liked they had been punched recently, but they still rolled smoothly. I had a free pass from points collected on GolfNow so nay free round is enjoyable. Pace od play was good 4 hours. This was the 3rd time I played this course and I forgot I how hard the last 4 holes are. Frankly, I do not care for any of the last 4 holes. All the fairways are crowned and two of greens are blind. In reality the terrain is too rugged and is not suited for a golf hole. The only other knock on this scenic beauty is the 3 out of 4 par 3's from the blue tees are all the same length long 195 yards. I prefer more of variety. Therefore I typically play the whites on only the par 3's thus giving me 7 iron on one, 9, 6, and 5. I do not like hitting a hybrid on almost every par 3. One last note with the expansion of route 16 to 4 lanes and completion of I485 - it is short 20 minutes from Charlotte now.

Greens were the best I have played on all year super fast. The greens are huge so you better hit your target or 3 putt is in order. The rest of course has matured well since the last time I played 2 years ago. The par 3's are some of prettiest you will play in the area. The pat 5's are bit of a disappointment, because the way they are step up it almost always forces you to lay-up on all but 1 out 4. The course itself is very demanding, certianly not build with a senior community in mind. The 1st hole is a bear. Up hill with bunker and OB in play and your second shot is to 2-tier green you cannot see, but only the flag with a false front. Take bogey and move on. They finally introduced a twilight rate after 2:00 it is $32 which is great otherwise it fairly expensive $58 during the week and $65 on weekend.

Course was in good shape, greens were a little slow, mainly due to all the rain. Otherwise one of favorites to play, very fair and good test. Allot of elevation changes and very scenic. For the money one of the best around.

Greens were rolling nice. First time I played course and it was worth the drive. Pro game out introduced himself and gave me some pointers. A few blind holes that I did not care for other than that it was great course allot of fun. Greens were tricky and par 3's were fantastic.

Anyone been out to Red Bridge lately? Heard they about lost their greens a while back?
